
Zoe Lee is a versatile performer, chamber musician, arts administrator and educator who seeks to connect people together through music. As a recipient of the Vincent Constantino Scholarship, Zoe received a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with French cellist Jean-Michel Fonteneau.
Zoe began her musical journey learning piano at the age of four. As a cellist, Zoe has earned awards in both solo and chamber music competitions in her native Taiwan. She has also participated in prestigious international music festivals, including Oberstdorfer Musiksommer, Taipei Music Academy Festival, Formosa Chamber Music Festival, Telegraph ChamberFEAST, and has had the privilege of taking lessons and masterclasses with Lynn Harrell, Wen-Sinn Yang, Yovan Markovitch, Yehuda Hanani, Johannes Moser, Astrid Schween, Antonio Lysy, Telegraph Quartet and the Formosa Quartet, among others.
As a chamber musician, she has performed numerous chamber concerts and is always exploring creative ways to engage broader audiences with chamber music. In 2020, she organized and performed in Trio-20, a hybrid concert featuring both in-person and livestream performances. The following year, she formed a string quartet and collaborated with a private chef for A Piece A Meal, a unique chamber music and fine dining experience.
Zoe is also an active member of the Bay Area music scene, regularly premiering works by young composers and performing with award-winning artists, such as Ragnar Bohlin and John Adams, and recorded Nick Platoff's 2022 album, "Limousine of Creative Potential," with members of the San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Ballet. She is currently the cellist of Araya, a Bay Area based band performing music from Latin America including Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil.
Zoe teaches piano and cello lessons to students at all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, in both English and Chinese. She serves as a faculty member at the Community Music Center and Teaching Artist at Music Mission San Francisco. Simultaneously, Zoe explores her passion for arts administration as the Director of Artistic Planning at Voices of Music and the Marketing and Operations Intern at Noe Music.
Through her diverse experiences in music performance, education, and arts administration, Zoe is dedicated to connecting people of all backgrounds with the transformative power of music. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, strolling, hiking and photography.
李若芸,1999年出生於台北,自五歲起,跟著哥哥姐姐一起學習鋼琴,踏上她漫漫的音樂旅途。對室內樂和創新演出充滿熱情的若芸,在2020年疫情期間成功策劃並演出了 "Trio-20" 線上及現場音樂會,並於隔年與私廚合作舉辦了 "音樂家的私廚餐館" 活動,將室內樂與創意料理結合。
若芸持有舊金山音樂學院的大提琴演奏學士學位,師從Jean-Michel Fonteneau教授,並獲得Vincent Constantino大提琴獎學金。在學期間積極參與大師班與音樂節,曾參加福爾摩沙室內樂音樂節、紐約國際音樂節、德國Oberstdorfer Musiksommer、TMAF大師新秀音樂節等等。她也曾接受多位知名演奏家的指導,包括楊文信、Lynn Harrell、Yovan Markovitch、Yehuda Hanani、Johannes Moser、Astrid Schween、Antonio Lysy、Telegraph Quartet以及福爾摩沙四重奏等。
若芸的音樂啟蒙老師為馬靜儀老師,並曾師事連亦先、簡荿玄教授。在鋼琴方面,她曾師事湯婉君、姜淑香、賴柏如、陳文婉和塗青雯。
作為一位大提琴演奏家,若芸舉辦過多場獨奏音樂會,包括 "Liminal Space" 、 "Around the Universe" 大提琴獨奏會、 "Beethoven and the Seasonal Poem" 聯合音樂會等。2019年,若芸也與火星上的藝術課合作舉辦過親子音樂會和音樂工作坊。
若芸目前為加州灣區的活躍演奏家,定期首演年輕作曲家的作品,並曾與葛萊美獲獎音樂家 Ragnar Bohlin 和 John Adams 等同台演出。2022 年,曾與舊金山交響樂團和舊金山芭蕾舞管弦樂團的成員一同參與錄製了 Nick Platoff 的 專輯《Limousine of Creative Potential》。 她目前為 Araya 合奏團的大提琴手,演奏來自包括委內瑞拉、秘魯、阿根廷、哥倫比亞和巴西等拉丁美洲的音樂。
若芸目前在線上及舊金山現場提供雙語(中文與英文)一對一的成人與小孩私人大提琴課程,並於 Community Music Center 與 Music Mission San Francisco教授私人與團體班。在藝術管理方面,若芸目前擔任音樂之語 Voices of Music的藝術策劃總監和 Noe Music 的行銷和營運實習生。
