​Zoe Lee is an interdisciplinary artist, cellist, and curator dedicated to creating immersive and transformative musical experiences that connect people across communities. Her work bridges classical tradition with interdisciplinary collaboration, blending refined musicianship with innovative approaches to audience engagement.

 

She has performed in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings at distinguished venues including SFJAZZ, Herbst Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Taiwan National Concert Hall, Eslite Performance Hall, and National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying). Internationally, she has appeared at festivals including Oberstdorfer Musiksommer, Taipei Music Academy & Festival, Formosa Chamber Music Festival, Telegraph ChamberFEAST, ClarinetFest®, and Festival Napa Valley, where she served as a principal cellist in one of the 2025 orchestra performances.

As a curator, Zoe is building Resonant States, an interdisciplinary performance series dedicated to immersive listening experiences that integrate live music, sound bath, and mindfulness. Through this evolving platform, she presents ongoing programs that invite audiences into deeper states of presence and connection. In addition to Resonant States, she has developed innovative chamber initiatives including Trio-20, a hybrid in-person and livestream concert experience during the pandemic; A Piece A Meal, a chamber music and fine dining collaboration with a private chef; and Sonic Palette: Chamber Music Concert with Paintscape, an interdisciplinary project created in collaboration with a painter, exploring the dialogue between visual art and live performance. Through these curatorial projects, she seeks to expand the sensory and communal dimensions of chamber music.

An active member of the Bay Area music community, Zoe regularly premieres and performs works by living composers and has collaborated with award-winning artists including Ragnar Bohlin, John Adams, and Kenny Barron, etc. She also recorded "Limousine of Creative Potential" by Nick Platoff alongside members of the San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Ballet.

Zoe earned her Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a recipient of the Vincent Constantino Scholarship, studying with Jean-Michel Fonteneau. She later completed her Master of Music under the guidance of Jennifer Culp, where she continued to receive a merit-based scholarship.

 

As a dedicated educator, Zoe teaches piano lesson and cello lessons to students at all levels in both English and Chinese. She serves as a faculty member at the San Francisco Community Music Center and has performed with Parnassus Symphony and Stockton Symphony. Through performance, curatorial practice, and education, she remains committed to building meaningful artistic experiences that foster connection and resonance.​​
